“After working in the community for decades with clients of various ages, I heard many dark secrets that my clients had never told another soul. After further research of a ‘forbidden‘ subject, I produced this story showing how child abuse impacts an entire lifetime and the only way forward was for the protagonist to face their past and the person who betrayed them.
The book is a crime fiction, set in a small town on the outskirts of Sydney, and includes life on a country farm. It’s about growing up in the 60’s, and a dark secret that was kept for decades. It’s a story of courage, becoming unstuck and realising everyone is flawed in some way. Then shock realisation that she herself had married a pedophile, the single mother must now support her children whilst living in constant fear of being stalked.”
